To me, Christmas is the second most important holiday season on the calendar, next only to Easter… and Easter couldn’t have happened without Christmas. This post was created to be some Advent inspiration for your Christmas season.

Birthdays during the Christmas Season

In my family, we have three birthdays that take place during the month of December. Over the years, we’ve not always been able to get together to celebrate them on the exact day of their births but we honour their lives just the same. 

The reality of this makes me totally fine with using December 25th, or January 7th if you’re an Orthodox Christian, to celebrate the birth of Jesus, even though He really was a Fall baby  .

Taking a whole season to reflect on why Jesus left heaven to come to earth and become our Emmanuel, “God with us” should make you feel so loved. Pondering on the fact that Jesus gave up the comforts of heaven for you should be the inspiration you need to celebrate.

You’re that important to God!
